Ladies Ministries
We gather together for the purpose of living out Titus 2:3-5.
v3 "Older women likewise are to be reverent in their behavior, not malicious gossips nor enslaved to much wine, teaching what is good, v4 so that they may encourage the young women to love their husbands, to love their children, v5 to be sensible, pure, workers at home, kind, being subject to their own husbands, so that the word of God will not be dishonored."
Ladies’ Fellowships -- We believe this time of fellowship allows us the opportunity to build and nurture the relationships necessary to be obedient to Titus 2.
This is a time focused on gleaning practical application from the older, godly woman, praying together and fellowshipping under our bond in Christ so that the 'Word of God will not be dishonored' among us through our excellent behavior.
We typically meet at the church on the second Saturday of Feb, May, Oct, Dec., for a brunch from 10-12 AM, but watch the announcements and church calendar for exact dates and times.
Bi-annual Retreats – We work to have times for the ladies of church to "get away” for a focused time of encouragement, prayer, and fellowship. Watch for announcements for these great times together. Our next Ladies Retreat is scheduled for February 3, 2012.
Women’s Titus 2 Book Studies –We also have home book studies which provide a time during the week for women who are able to attend to read various edifying books, share with one another, and build the relationships needed to carry out the instructions for women found in Scriptures. Meals Ministries -- We provide meals for those in need and several times a year we meet together to make meals that go in the church freezer to be shared as needed. See the meals ministry for more details of how to get involved.
Benevolence Projects -- As part of the Ladies' Fellowship we pick projects to provide aid or service to various community or missions ministries which have needs. We take up collections or donations to support these ministries. Watch the announcements for more details.
Blessing Trees and Baby Showers -- We want to celebrate the birth of new children and help young families by coming along side them. Part of this is putting "Blessing Trees" out for those families who already have children and to host baby showers for first time moms. Watch the announcements for these great ministry opportunities.
