Prayer Chain
The prayer chain is a ministry that informs our congregation of needs to which they can pray or minister. Prayer is such a powerful tool used of God to draw our hearts toward each other and towards God Himself. It is a tremendous blessing and humbling for those in need to know that so many people are lifting them up in prayer.
If you would like to receive prayer requests, please sign up on our Email lists.

Morning Prayer Meeting
The Wednesday morning prayer meeting exists to fulfill the calling of Ephesians 6:18 by praying for the needs of the saints at Southside Bible Church.
Eph 6:18 With all prayer and petition pray at all times in the Spirit, and with this in view, be on the alert with all perseverance and petition for all the saints.
Every believer in Christ is welcome to join us. We meet every Wednesday morning at 6:20 AM, at the home of Robert and Najwa Watson.
Prayer in General
God speaks to us through His Word, the Scriptures, and we speak to Him through prayer.
Just as it is not natural to inhale and hold your breath, it is not natural to take in God’s Word, behold the glories of God in Christ as revealed in Scripture, and not spontaneously
- adore God for these revealed glories (Rom 11:33-36),
- confess how we have fallen short of these glories (Rom 3:23),
- give expression to our burdens and needs by making supplications to the One who is all-powerful (Phil 4:6-7), and
- acknowledge with deep humility, gratitude, and thanksgiving for the manifold gifts, mercies, and graces He has bestowed upon us (Col 4:2).
At Southside we encourage you to spend time in personal prayer (Matt 6:6) and we also provide avenues for the exercise of corporate prayer (Acts 2:42).
Prayer an integral part of the Sunday morning worship service, home studies, prayer meeting on Wednesday mornings, along with other groups who gather to pray for the needs of the saints and a lost world.
We have a very active prayer chain, and during the week, there are numerous Home Bible Studies, where praises and prayer requests are shared and corporately lifted up to the Throne of Grace (Heb 4:16).
Welcome
