Getting Connected
It can be difficult to get connected when you attend a new church. Since we are not a “program” oriented church, you cannot just say, “I am married, age 30-40, with young children – here’s my place.”
Here are some easy ways to help with the transition:
- - This is one of the best ways to quickly get to know people. The small group atmosphere allows you to get to know others more quickly.
- – These groups meet together as families/singles once a month for three/four months. It is a great way to get to know people. Watch for the sign ups.
- – We have a very active prayer chain. By being part of this you will get to know more about people at the church, even if you have not met them yet. Prayer is one of the means of grace and a great way to encourage one another.
- – This is another great way for women at the church to get to know one another and build those “Titus 2” kinds of relationships. Watch the announcements or church calendar for the dates.
- - Two benefits are: learning about our Lord and God’s Word, and getting a chance to meet more people in a smaller setting. Since we have a break between Bible study and the worship service, it is an open opportunity to meet new people and learn about the church.
- -- We have a robust prayer chain, church announcements, youth and meals ministries, and other important communications sent out to those who would like to stay in touch with what is happening. They are easy to sign up for, and if you no longer want to be on the list it is a few clicks and you are off the list.
