Entrust
We are commited to training the next generation of teachers and leaders. As part of this effort we have established our "Entrust" ministry.“Entrust” is designed for the men of our fellowship who desire to dig deep into theology and the Scriptures. Its purpose is to accomplish Paul’s exhortation in 2 Timothy 2:2 where Timothy was to entrust the truth to “faithful men who will be able to teach others also.”
It is focused on the learning and handling of Scripture, and also on sharing the experiences of the leadership in the wide array of ministerial responsibilites. Often this second aspect of ministry is limited by time constraints if a man attends a seminary or Bible college.
Theological Training
Part of the in-depth Scriptural study is handled within our "Advanced" Bible study classes. Other aspects are dealt with individually depending on the man's current background and abilities.
To be involved in the ministerial aspects of Entrust a man must be accepted into that program. Advanced Bible study classes are open to everyone.
Pastoral Mentoring Program
The mentoring program consists of four, approximately six month long mentoring periods by one or more of the church Elders/leaders. The four modules each have a different emphasized ministry area.
Each deals with both the practical issues of ministry and the application of what a man has learned theologically. Additional personal theological instruction may be needed as part of the overall program.
The four modules of mentoring cover the following priniciple topics:
- Preaching and Teaching skills and Hermenuetical instruction
- Counseling and Church Operations/Organization, International Ministry
- Youth and Worship, Community Involvement
- Evangelism, Prayer, Fellowship, and general Shepherding
